Nicky's interest in health and medicine goes back 30 years when she qualified as a Registered General Nurse back in the UK.  After 10 years of practice in allopathic (conventional) medicine, she became disillusioned by many aspects of it but still appreciated its importance.

After several years of suffering from eczema and skin issues, she decided not to use steroids anymore and looked into natural treatments. With the support of a nutritionist she made dietary and lifestyle changes and within 3 months was free of eczema. Nicky's interest in natural health continued with the birth of her first child and on moving to New Zealand she was able to study as a naturopath gaining a Bachelor of Natural Medicine through South Pacific College of Natural Medicine in Auckland.
